Deazy: an AI-first, next-generation agency for AI & software engineering

post image

For some time now at Deazy, AI has underpinned the way we operate - not as an afterthought but as an integral and foundational building block to all that we do.

Deazy as an AI-first business: what does this mean?

‘AI-first’ is a reflection of our investment and practice in AI technologies. It denotes an established operating model with AI at its heart, and a real-world production model that is active in delivering AI solutions that enhance our clients’ digital product and service builds.

It means that AI is embedded into our day-to-day operations not layered on top, that we are committed to the ongoing AI enablement and training of our teams and that we will continue to invest in benchmarking and improving our AI capability, consistency, quality and scale.

Experience built in practice

AI-first conveys that Deazy has experience in this field. That our adoption of AI is deliberate, governed and outcome-driven, grounded in the reality of production use.

Both inside of the business and with clients it has improved decision-making, consistency and focus as we have:

  • Designed and delivered a curriculum of AI training and coaching from the basics of prompting to evaluations and agents, enabling our team to grow professionally

  • Embedded AI into day-to-day operations and decision-making for efficiency gains, with over 100 automated flows saving approximately 70 weeks of effort a year

  • Developed an established AI-enabled delivery framework that embeds AI into product and delivery practice for improved quality of services

  • Applied AI-enhanced engineering practices across the software development lifecycle (as reflected in our 2025 partner research by 7 in 10 respondents reporting at least a ½ day a week productivity lift).

  • Invested consistently in AI productivity, enablement, and capability with a 140% increase in AI tooling investment from 2024 to 2025.

  • Developed a proprietary AI Maturity Assessment for delivery partners that assesses and highlights expertise and experience.

  • Built and applied AI in production environments for clients such as Aveni, BehindLogin, and several leading law firms to reduce overheads, improve delivery speed, enable faster delivery of internal innovation goals and deliver revenue results including +25% annual revenue uplifts.

A tool, not a feature: delivering next-gen outcomes for clients

Our focus is on delivering better outcomes - and delivering them faster and more efficiently.

Assuring the quality of their AI process and AI-enhanced engineering, we have developed and deployed a proprietary and automated AI Maturity assessment across our next-generation community of delivery partners, benchmarking all 125+ on their AI engineering and AI product development capability and ensuring that the whole community is supported and challenged to adopt and leverage AI to the highest standards.

We've additionally invested in our clients to facilitate experimentation in AI that improves both operational efficiency and their own customers' experience. Our priority is to accelerate their AI journey, using our unique position to explore AI use cases and business value through ideation and proof of concepts (PoCs), all with a focus on delivering measurable business value and maximum use of budget.

An evolution of commercial models

Working AI-first has also enabled us to engage with a more progressive commercial model - one where it is possible to move beyond pure ‘time and materials’ and explore more value-based approaches.

It’s something we intend to invest in further this year, aligning incentives with customer outcomes rather than activity, and leveraging AI-enabled insight to support fairer, more outcome-focused pricing too.

Control and intent: responsible AI

While the impact of AI is undeniable, it is our firm belief (today) that AI is an enabler of better work, not a replacement of good judgment and we remain steadfastly committed to responsible use.

Risk management, transparency and assurance are integral to our operating model and we will continue to offer the clearest lines of accountability, both choosing to demand the highest of internal standards, completing DPIAs for any client where we are processing information in LLMs, as well as aligning with emerging AI governance standards such as ISO 42001.

Committed to progress, pragmatically

Within all the hype and noise, Deazy has been quietly living its values and building strong foundations in AI in recent years, purposefully experimenting with and implementing AI solutions for the benefit of our business and that of our clients.

Looking ahead, we plan to orchestrate, govern and continuously raise AI standards across our delivery community and ensure a level of consistency, quality, efficiency and assurance across all partners that both facilitates us being able to deliver at scale and helps clients do more (and faster).

We can say with confidence that AI will continue to underpin how Deazy operates and delivers its work and - across people, partners, governance and ways of working - that our investment in AI and AI-enhanced engineering will continue to grow.

And - as the landscape continues to evolve - so will we. With our focus, ultimately, on using all of what we know to deliver value to our customers and make development easy.
